Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to Common Inquiries About Our Services
Do we accept insurance?
At this time, we do not accept insurance. Continue to check back for updates.
How are consultations conducted?
In-person consultations are offered. During these sessions, the psychologist will explain the testing process and conduct a clinical interview to gather relevant background information. We strive to create a supportive atmosphere that encourages open communication.
How long does an assessment take?
The duration of an assessment varies based on the type and complexity of the evaluation. Typically, cognitive assessments may take 1-2 hours, while personality and IQ assessments may require additional time for interviews and feedback sessions. We prioritize thoroughness to ensure you receive the best possible insights.
How long before I receive my report and results?
Typically, reports are completed within two weeks; however, we strive to complete reports faster, knowing that accommodations are important for our patients. Unofficial clinical feedback is available at the session.
Do you prescribe medication?
Dr. Swiantek does not prescribe medication, but he will collaborate with your primary care doctor for medication referrals and will share results with your primary care provider with your consent.
Will you be creating my child's IEP or 504 plan?
No, we do not create IEP or 504 plans. However, we do provide the testing to diagnose specific learning and intellectual disorders, as well as recommendations for accommodations based on the diagnoses. A comprehensive report outlining these diagnoses and accommodations can be shared with your child's school upon your consent.
